Starting Again!

Hey guys!

So I know it's been..about roughly 3 months since my last post.  I know I'm horrible and bad and I'm sorry for that!  But recently I decided to get back into a healthy eating routine because I did look at my weight recently and I don't know if it's just my time but I realized that I have kinda lost the healthy way I was eating before and I really want to get that back!

With that being said I'm back!  And this time I hope I don't lose sight of my healthy eating again, I also do want to start working out since I did like the treadmill when I was in Mass in my hotel, and I did like lifting weights with David!  So I hope that I can find some time to start working out and eating better, cause with being stressed from school and all the pressure I'm under it's almost difficult to eat healthy.

Some things I'm planning to do are,

  • Dieting 5 1/2 times a week instead of 6-7.
  • Cutting out sugary drinks like my Lipton Green Tea, etc.
  • Drinking more tea from tea bags again.
  • PORTION CONTROL!
  • 20 minute workouts 3x a week!
I plan on starting this Monday, October 7th!  My new goal is to lose 50 lbs and be healthier by next summer! (;

Here's to starting fresh! (:

Week 3 & 4 Recap!

Hey guys!

So if you haven't seen my latest vlog from Misquamicut (here), it's pretty obvious I didn't really stick to a diet, though I did eat a lot of fruit and drank a lot of water.  Not only this but David and I did walk A LOT when we were on vacation along the beach as well as along the stores and arcades, etc.  I've noticed on vacation how bad I really look which is why I'm getting back on track.

The previous week was also much of the same, eating some crap but also doing some good for myself. I'm starting to realize that eating crap and being healthy is a deadly balance for my taste buds. One day I'll eat healthy the next I'll want McDonalds or ice cream. I've always made sure that my portion sizes were where I wanted them to be with variety and instead of ice cream, I've switched to eating greek frozen yogurt. Particurlarly, Black Raspberry Frozen Yogurt...OMG SO GOOD! Less calories and tastes like ice cream!

Mainly the past couple weeks have been a rough eating wise for me with vacation and stress but I am trying to get myself back on track for the better.  It's really hard to not eat when I'm stressed that's one of my main issues. Especially this past Wednesday I had the urge that I couldn't stop eating AT ALL. It was horrible, as much water as I tried to force down my throat it was terrible, but I'm over that now and ready to start again!

I hope these posts won't be annoying to you guys and thinking that I'm on an iffy diet. I am trying to get myself on track, my problem is I let things get in the way and I know I shouldn't when it comes to my weight and being healthy. I hope next week is a big improvement from the past couple weeks!

Love you guys!

Week 2 Recap!

Hey beautifuls!

So this week was a lot better than last but I still have been eating some things..I KNOW I SHOULDN'T BE.

I have for the most part been trying to drink water...well ice water, it's a lot better for me to drink water if it's iced! Is that weird? I've been cutting down my green tea 1-2 a day now and trying to cut my portions small!

Even though I still have been eating some crap, it hasn't been as much 'crap' as it has been in the past week! My cravings have gotten a lot better, but I did get my time of the month this week so I did eat reeses, and candy, and donuts, and cried, and watched movies. But that's understandable right? I won't lie to y'all I turn into a b**** when I'm on my time so this week has been a rough one!

But I did want to tell you guys about these new apps I found for my phone that have really helped me to start getting on a regular workout regimen! They're all FREE! :D H*** YES FOR FREE! The names of the apps are pretty self explanatory.. lol

  • Ab Workouts
  • Arm Workouts
  • Leg Workouts
  • Butt Workouts
They have workout for beginners like me and a lot of strength training exercises for different parts of your body you want to work out! So far this week I'm doing the Arm and Ab workouts and they've really worked! I've lost 5 lbs so far and I can see a cut in my abs where a pack is starting to form! :D (Pic below!)

But I hope y'all have another fabulous week, and I hope this week's post helped you in someway! I highly recommend the workout apps because they're so helpful!

Stay strong!

Love you all!

(Small cut on the side, it's not much but it's enough for me!👏😀)

Week 1 Recap

Hey beautifuls!

So far this week has been CRAZY CRAZY HECTIC. And still continues to be!
I've been trying to eat right since I got home from David's Tuesday night and so far it's been a struggle.

I worked out using my Rockin Body System on Wednesday with the 15 minute workout....and omg even though it was 15 minutes, I still felt it! I hope to get a workout in tonight sometime before I head off to David's again til Sunday night!

I've been trying to drink a lot more water instead of just my green tea because those are 100 calories a bottle and I don't want to necessarily drink my calories! I drink only 1-2 green teas a day now. Instead of the 4-5 I was drinking before!

However, I did drink a lot of Avery's Sodas yesterday and ate a whole box of Dark Chocolate Covered Raspberry Rings from Stew Leonards. (AHHH!) I know I shouldn't have but I did and I regret it and then at night I had Burger King. But THIS time when I ordered I only got a normal cheeseburger and small fry and still had a bottle of water to drink that Danielle gave me!

SO I slipped some yesterday but not completely and I was pretty proud of myself for that cause usually I cheat I don't go back! But today I had some snack things, and for lunch a PB&J on wheat bread, a skinny cow ice cream (150 calories! WHAT?!) a green tea and water. So even though I did eat some things that are 'bad' they were low in calories and I still have 1068 calories to eat today still!

I've been trying to keep my portions small and reasonable instead of going crazy, and most importantly drink water! Hydration, hydration, hydration! Specially since the past week has been 90+ weather!

So far so good! Just need to still cut out a lot of things and control my cravings with drinking water!

I hope this week's post helped you in some way! I love you all!

Welcome to My Blog! + Tips! :D

Hey beautifuls!

I just wanted to take some time out of the day to say welcome to my fitness blog!

KEEP GOING! As hard as it gets just keep going and the reason I say this is because I've been trying the past month to get into a routine of eating right and being healthy with myself and to my body.

I know it's not easy to neglect foods you want, crave, and love. And I know it's not easy to exercise when you just want to be on the computer but keep at it! With that being said I have a few tips that I follow that can help some of you out there trying to get fit! I'm not taking personal credit for these since some have been on other sites like Pinterest, other blogs, etc!

I know what you're thinking "A fat girl giving me diet tips, really?" Let me correct that cause I'm sure many people think this. I'm NOT fat. I'm normal. It just so happens I have fat that doesn't go to the right places...ladies we all know the feeling. But here are my tips to help you in your fitness journey!

TIPS:
  1. Drink water. - The one we've all heard before but it really works, seriously. I hate the taste of water but it helps when you want to lose weight and curb an appetite!
  2. Portions! - MUY IMPORTANTE! This is usually where I personally go wrong. Veggies and other sides should be the size of your fist I believe and meats should be double that. I might be wrong on that but that's what I learned in health class!
  3. Eat Small Meals with Variety! Eating one big meal a day and the rest being nothing or small usually isn't good for you. Eating small meals makes you feel more full and you feel like your constantly eating instead of feeling hungry and that's usually where many slip. (Including myself!) Also include a couple foods per meal. For ex. For breakfast I'd eat a greek yogurt/yoplait light yogurt and a mango or banana. Maybe some grapefruit juice or coffee. Feeling full is better than going hungry!
  4. Learn about Fat Burning Foods! - I have to thank JLovesMac1 for this with her 'Sexy Loser' videos. I looked on google and found a whole list of fat burning foods! It's not necessarily a list you need to eat off constantly but including at least 1-2 of those foods a day can increase how much fat you burn!
  5. Exercise 30 mins a day or Every Other! - A MUST! There's no loss without a little work right? There's a lot of workouts I found on YouTube that are easy to follow and Pinterest always has great strength training exercises too! I use an app called 'Nexercise' which tracks how your body moves so you can get points and earn rewards! Talk about good motivation!
  6. FOOD DIARY! - Again, JLovesMac1 knows what she's talking about! RECORD EVERYTHING! LITERALLY! It has helped me a lot with this app called, 'My Fitness Pal' Which helps you track all the food you eat and the calorie intake. I personally try to keep my calories under 2000 a day.
  7. Have a Cheat Day! - We all need one once in a while, like Sunday Funday for example. Mine is now Saturdays since my David and I like to go out to dinner or eat fast food. That's my day to indulge! BUT NOT TOO MUCH! <-- Sometimes if you have a cheat day it can be hard to go back to your current eating routine, or lead to losing the diet altogether! STAY MOTIVATED!
  8. Make a DREAM BOARD/POSTER! - I Instagramed my dream posters and it helps you stay motivated when it comes to losing weight or what you want to accomplish in your life. It's helped me so much!
  9. HAVE GOALS! - If you want to lose a certain amount of weight like me, this is amazing! For EX. I would make a chart with -10 lbs, -20 lbs, etc. and write a reward for myself next to it when I lose said amount of weight! So for me once I lose -10 lbs I can eat a small ice cream cone, etc., that sort of thing! :D
  10. Don't deprieve yourself! - If you want that cookie, have a cookie. But ONE cookie. Not TEN! I let myself have something but in small amounts like a cookies or chips. Small amount goes a LONG way. Or even better find something else that will satisfy that craving! Lately I personally haven't been having cravings for cookies or chips, it must be the power of healthy eating!
I hope these tips helped you guys in some way and I love you all!
Fitness posts coming daily! :D (This above one was from March but I never posted it til now!)

Love,
Sam
